| Under Armin Gesswein, small groups of volunteers were brought together through the United States and the world to pray that New York Crusade would bring many people face to face with salvation through Jesus Christ. In the New York area itself, starting in April 1957, a radio program went on the air with weekly prayer requests and hundreds of groups were formed which met regularly and received regular information and updates from the crusade office. The night before the opening service and on July 2, all night prayer services for the crusade, open to all, were held in ten churches scattered through the New York City area. |
