In terms of cubic feet, we had a low processing output in 2007 because the time staff used to provide training for other archives and working on other projects was more than expected. However, we did open to the public a number of interesting files. Six new collections were opened, 10 were updated. Also, twelve-and-a-half hours of oral history were transcribed on 259 pages.

Here are some sample items of interest:

From new Collection 625: Lois Gregory’s papers about her ministry as a teacher and evangelist, including material relating to her work to discourage smoking among children and teenager, such as the brochure “Cigar, Cigarette or Pipe?”.

From updated Collection 38: Evangelist Paul Rader’s failed petition campaign in 1936 to have Congress declare a national day of prayer (see a sample brochure from the campaign).

From updated Collection 136: A newsletter of the British affiliate of Mission Aviation Fellowship, describing its work around Africa in early 1973 (see front page of the newsletter).

From new Collection 622: Brochure from Box 1, Folder 1 of the Cliff Barrow Papers. The brochure is for a series of 1947 evangelistic meetings in Oldham, England. The meetings were organized by Youth for Christ and led by Billy Graham and Cliff Barrows. Also see a page from a brochure from the same folder that advertises a 1950 evangelistic campaign in Portland, Oregon, one of the first campaigns of Billy Graham’s own evangelistic organization, also including Cliff Barrows.
