Researcher Craig Bishop viewing the Billy Sunday photo notebook

"Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity towards us. The information you gave us was very helpful and useful toward our display, which turned out very good...Your extreme helpfulness immediately put us at ease, pursuing archives for the first time. We were fascinated to hold and look through actual letters written by Mr. [Nate] Saint, and all the magazines and films made this come alive for us...We thank you again for your time and efforts on our behalf, and for helping us increase our love and knowledge of history and for those who gave their lives for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ." Note from home school students who were working on a school project.

"I received the email you sent about the membership card [Moody Church membership cards] concerning my Great Grandmother. I am so thrilled and appreciate your thoughtfulness! Thank you for the hard work in what you all do with the upkeep of these records from so long ago... It also does my heart good to know that not only was she a Christian woman but to know she visited one of the greatest (in my opinion) churches of her time." E-mail from a patron who was looking for information on her great grandmother.

"Thank you for the information on Jim Elliot's quote. I'd heard this my whole life but never really knew where it had come from. I had actually searched for it in the Bible. I greatly appreciate your site and will visit it often." E-mail from a social worker asking about Elliot's quote "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose."

"Thank you very much for the excellent presentation you gave to my class yesterday. You had a nice blend of text, image, and sound. I appreciate the extra work you did to pull enough materials from your collections for all the students to have exposure to different types of sources. That experience certainly made today's class easier. They've read several books, but I could see that visiting the BGC Archives helped them understand the Protestant culture of the period in ways that brought the readings to life." E-mail from a Wheaton professor referring to a presentation given to her “American in the 20s” class.

"I wanted to drop a quick note and say thank you for the '58 Billy Graham crusade transcript. Many thanks to all of your hard work." E-mail from a researcher asking about the 1958 Charlotte, North Carolina, Crusade.

"This is a very belated Thank You for allowing me to interview you both for my assignment. I appreciate the time you took to talk with me and answer my questions about the archives and your duties as archivists and the tour to see ‘behind the scenes’. I have always admired Billy Graham and the evangelistic efforts of his association, so seeing this archives, the Reading Room, and all the material you make available was very exciting for me." Note from a student in an archival administration class at Dominican University.

"Thank you so much for the photos of Papa Strat. I thought it would be a much more difficult process, but you made it quick and painless. Thank you for all your help. These pictures mean a lot to our family." E-mail from a grandson of Stratton Shufelt upon receiving scanned copies from the Archives collection of his grandfather, J. Stratton Shufelt.

"I think this website that you have about the Titanic is amazingly cool." E-mail from a student interested in the sinking of the Titanic.

"Again our thanks for a such a prompt response to the need for the quotes."
E-mail from a BGEA executive for services provided to expedite his and other executive’s contribution to the development of the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte.
