Remodeled Manuscript Reading
Room after reopening in mid-August

During the six-month refurbishing of the Reading Room, staff provided temporary work areas for patrons in the BGC Wilson Suite and when that was not available, in the archival office. Researchers came from twenty-nine states as well as Canada, China, Germany, Korea, Lebanon, Norway, and the United Kingdom. For detailed Reading Room statistics click here.

I wouldn't have found many of these things, if there hadn't been the friendly and competent staff of the Billy Graham Center Archives. Part of a message from a researcher who visited the Archives. Click here to read the rest of this note and reports from eight others who spent extensive time in the Archives.

Among the topics researchers explored in the Reading Room during 2006:

Impact of Billy Graham's ministry on United Kingdom Brethren churches
  City-wide evangelistic campaigns
  Women missionaries, 1945-1965
Early history of Chicago area Youth for Christ organizations
