These photos from accession 01-25 relate to Ruth Mellis' teaching responsibilities at the Queen's School for Girls (Empress Menan School) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 1946-1949. The photo to the left shows Mellis (back left) posing with other American and Canadian teachers in front of one of the school buildings. The photo to the right is of two Ethiopian students of the school with the following inscription on the back: "To my dear teacher Miss Melis [sic] from your pupil Mehrat Berhe. July 22nd 1949."
