Staff processing during 1999 added or updated fourteen collections (nine consisting of paper documents, five of oral history interviews) to the material accessible to Archives researchers. We continued to emphasize arranging and describing Billy Graham Evangelistic Association records. Almost half the number (44%) of the records collections processed were BGEA-related. More than half of the over half of the 87.8 cubic feet processed in 1999 documented BGEA activities or sponsored events. Irene Wong, as part of her training in the Archives, made a major contribution to the Archives by processing three collections related to missions in China.
We began another transition during 1999, converting guides to a HTML format which would be more searchable at our Web site. We also devoted much time to three one-time administrative tasks: supervising Irene Wong's processing tasks, inserting URLs (Internet addresses) into all our computer records on a national database and Wheaton College's automated catalog, and converting the BGEA chronology into HTML format, searchable over the Web.
Brief descriptions of collections processed during 1999 follow, with collection numbers on the left and a synopsis on the right.

NOTE: The cost analysis figures include labor (staff and student time), materials and supplies, and storage costs. Several collections were processed during more than one year, and the figures above are for completed projects only; therefore, they include hours from previous years, but do not include processing still ongoing at the end of 1999. The inclusion of the time of Irene Wong's processing and of overseeing her work did skew the processing statistics somewhat, seen most noticeably in the figure for processing hours per cubic foot of paper records or the figure for the hours devoted to processing an hour of oral history interview processing.
