The
purpose of the Wheaton College Alumni Association is to unite
all of the alumni of Wheaton College in a compact organization
for effective communication with each other and with the College,
to arrange for alumni reunions, to encourage the formation of
alumni clubs throughout the world, to foster and perpetuate the
enthusiasm of the alumni for the College and fellow alumni, and

The Wheaton College Union is formed in November. Its constitution would serve as a precursor to that of the Alumni Association. |
| 1928 |
At the fifth annual Homecoming, the number of registered alumni nearly reaches the hundred mark, as alumni travel to their alma mater from all sections of the country. |
| 1929 |
The alumni magazine, called The Alumni Quarterly, is begun, with Alex MacLeod '23 as editor and a subscription rate of one dollar. |
| 1944 |
Wheaton's Alumni Association is officially incorporated in August. |
| 1953 |
The Alumni Association presents its first Alumni of the Year awards. |
| 1956 |
The first Alumni Day is held. |
| 1960 |
During Wheaton's centennial celebration, the Alumni Association takes the lead in the drive for funds to construct Edman Chapel, pledging $500,000. The cornerstone of the Chapel is laid that Homecoming weekend. |

The Faculty/Alumni Special Collection is established with Alumni Association funds. |
| 1987 |
The Alumni Association merges with the College in a joint operating agreement to better facilitate alumni relations and fund raising opportunities. |

"The Immutables" are ratified to present to the Board of Trustees in October. |
| 1990 |
The Past Presidents Council, composed of all former presidents of the Alumni Association, is formed. |
| 1991 |
The Alumni Missionary Christmas Tree is unveiled: an 18-foot tree on the third floor of newly renovated Blanchard Hall decorated with hundreds of ornaments from alumni missionaries throughout the world. |

The Alumni in Missions Display is dedicated at Alumni Day in Blanchard Hall. |
| 1994 |
The Alumni Association celebrates its 50 years of incorporation and nearly 135 years of "service together for Wheaton College." The Association establishes a third Alumnus of the Year award to acknowledge the importance of Christian families. |
| 1995 |
The Association releases a devotional volume, Stones of Remembrance, prepared for alumni and friends who participate in the Jubilee year fundraising campaign. The Board approves a motion to affirm the Joint Operating Agreement into perpetuity, and prepares a list of affirmations for the College administration. |
| 1999 |
The Alumni Online Community website is launched. |
| 2000 |
The Alumni Association establishes the Award of Distinction. |
| 2001 |
Total Alumni participation in New Century Campaign giving tops $64 million and 60 percent. The Association releases David Howard's book, From Wheaton to the Nations, a story of how God has used Wheaton College students in cross-cultural missions, published by Tyndale. |

A redesigned Alumni Online Community website is launched. |
| 2006 |
Stones of Remembrance 2: Wheaton's Living Stones is published. |
