Professional and Personal Interests
My journey to becoming a theologian began in my teen years during which time I enjoyed reading philosophical works. When I became a Christian at the age of 18, my interest in philosophy was expanded to theology.

My first two years of college were spent at Bucknell University. In my Junior year I transferred to Wheaton College where my theological studies began in earnest as I double-majored in Biblical Studies and Spanish.

Sensing that I was still a theological novice, I entered Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary after college and focused my energies towards theology, Greek, and New Testament studies, earning a Master of Divinity degree.

A year after completion of my Masters' degree, my interests in philosophy and theology once again coalesced as I entered the doctoral program at Boston University in Philosophy of Religion. Ultimately all of these paths have led back to where my theological beginnings had sprouted. As of Fall 1998, I have been teaching theology here at my former alma mater.

General interests within theology include: The interrelation between theology and culture; Christology; the person and work of the Holy Spirit; and the Church's responsibility to the poor in the world.
