Executive Chef John Krickl returns to Bon Appetit with hopes of adding more authentic international dishes to the menu at Anderson Commons.
Wheaton’s new executive chef, John Krickl, has arrived on campus. In next few weeks, Krickl will be cooking up ideas to bring new food choices and a greater selection of authentic ethnic dishes to the menu, while maintaining the same emphasis on local, homegrown and healthy food. Chef Krickl is not new to the college. He previously worked as the executive chef of Wheaton College under Bon Appétit from 1996 to 2001. More >
Thunder Play Big on the Road to Pick Up 53-7 Victory Win at Luther
The Wheaton Thunder are 2-1 after a victory over the Norse of Luther College.
After a loss in last week’s first road game of the year at Albion College, Mich., the Wheaton Thunder football team took to the road again to finish up their non-conference schedule at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Wheaton took a 14-0 lead into halftime before exploding in the second half for 39 points en route to the dominating 53-7 victory over the Norse of Luther College (0-3). More >
Thunder Soccer Tops Calvin, Falls to Dominican
The Wheaton Thunder win against Calvin College, breaking their streak of four consecutive losses to the Knights.
The Wheaton College men’s soccer team split their two games last week, earning a 3-1 victory over Calvin College and falling 2-0 at Dominican University. The Thunder avenged four straight losses with a victory against the Calvin College Knights on Friday, Sept. 14. The final score from Joe Bean Stadium was 3-1 in favor of the Thunder. More >
Flat-screens, Smart Boards and Librarians for Everyone
Library renovations look to offer new resources to students and visitors.
By Saturday, Sept. 22, all the summer renovations in Buswell Memorial Library are expected to be finished. These projects started last year with the relocation of the reference collection out of the commons and the moving of a majority of the journals to an online database to create space for the reference collection. This relocation allowed space for four new flat-screen TVs, which are available for student use. More >

The Wheaton College Gospel Choir placed 3rd at Verizon's How Sweet the Sound competition on Monday, Sept. 17.
On Monday, Sept. 17, Chicago’s United Center was filled with 10,000 people cheering and dancing in the aisles while the Wheaton College Gospel Choir anticipated their performance. Moments before they went on stage, their director said, “You have one audience, and that is Jesus Christ.” More >
