Justice Coalition is hosting the third annual Advent Market this afternoon, Dec. 7. Organized by student members of Justice Coalition, Wheaton’s Advent Market hosts a variety of vendors, including many local non-profits and ministries. 'Miss Representation': Women's Portrayal in Mainstream Media
Documentary explores the misrepresentation of women in society.
“You can’t be what you can’t see” is the motto of a documentary entitled “Miss Representation,” a film that examines the way in which mainstream media contributes to the under-representation of women in a variety of spheres. On Monday, Dec. 3, the department of sociology and anthropology and the gender studies program hosted a screening of the film, which was written, directed and produced by actress Jennifer Siebel Newsom. Amazing run to Final Four ends with 2-1 loss to Emory.
The Wheaton women’s soccer team left Blossom Stadium in San Antonio disappointed but grateful last Friday night, Nov. 30. Though the team dropped a tough 2-1 contest to Emory University (Ga.) in the NCAA Division III National Soccer Tournament semifinals, it took a resilient and incredible effort to even reach that point.
