Wheaton College continues to monitor new information on the national level that may impact health insurance options for domestic and international students for the 2017-2018 academic year.
Currently Wheaton College does not offer an Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliant student health insurance plan for students who are U.S. citizens.
Please view the Student Health Insurance website for recommended guidelines and requirements to ensure that students are adequately insured while on campus. Some students may also have specific insurance requirements based on programs and/or visa status. New for 2016-2017 all students with an F1 Visa are required to be enrolled in an accident and illness plan that will be effective January 1, 2017 through July 31, 2017. Enrollment is automatic so no action is required by the student. For more information, please see Frequently Asked Questions.
Beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year, F1 Visa students are required to be enrolled in a unique plan designed to offer the most coverage at the lowest price for international visa students.
