Steve Gaskin

Michigan and Crescent Apartments

Dominique bio photoSteve Gaskin serves as a GRA in the Michigan and Crescent Apartments, and the Student Activities Office. He is working on his master’s degree in Biblical Studies, having attended Indiana University Bloomington, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology/African American Diaspora, with a minor in Theater & Drama. Steve and his wife, Dominique, both served as missionaries under a Christian organization called The Impact Movement for several years. From 2014-2016, they both helped plant a church within the heart of Chicago. Steve is a passionate, God-fearing, fun-loving, reckless dreamer that believes anything is possible. 
 

 

Kelsey Adams

Terrace Apartments

Kelsey bio photoKelsey Adams is in her first year as a Graduate Resident Adviser in Terrace Apartments and the Office of Christian Outreach. She graduated from Asbury University with bachelor's degrees in Spanish and Communications. Kelsey is pursuing her master's in Christian Formation and Ministry, concentrating in Student Development. She adores all things coffee, Disney, and chocolate. When not studying or working, Kelsey can be found thrift shopping, dancing, or watching movies in her pajamas. She enjoys traveling to new places and has become passionate about various locations across the globe; however, Kelsey will always be a Kentucky girl at heart. (Don't hold that against her though!) 

Latreece Mitchel

College Avenue Apartments

Wheaton College GRA Latreece Mitchel is returning to serve a second year as a Graduate Resident Adviser in College Ave Apartments, as well as working in the Students Activities office as a co-adviser to Solidarity Cabinet. Latreece is from Oakland, California and is the oldest of her siblings. She received her bachelor's degree in African American studies and Communication from California State University Fresno. She is now pursuing her Masters in Intercultural Studies and Missions. Latreece enjoys serving young adults, cooking, traveling, and taking long walks outside (during the warm weather of Illinois). She also enjoys playing volleyball and watching sports. While Latreece is so far away from home, she trusts in the direction the Lord is leading her and is excited to continue her growth at Wheaton. 
   

Sam Lau 

College Avenue Apartments

Sam bio photoSam Lau is the new GRA for College Avenue apartments and will also be working with the Office of Multicultural Development.  Born in Hong Kong and raised in Toronto, Canada, Sam graduated with a Bachelor's of Science from the University of Toronto before spending six years in student ministry with Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship in Canada.  Hearing God's call for a change of scenery, he is currently completing his Masters in Christian Formation and Ministry. In his free time he enjoys playing racquet sports, birdwatching, camping, and watching movies.  Sam is passionate about diversity and reconciliation and is looking forward to learning and growing in both during his time at Wheaton. 
 

 

 

Ethan Jones

Terrace Apartments

Wheaton College GRA Ethan Jones is returning to serve a second year as Graduate Resident Adviser in Terrace, as well as working with the Dean of Residence Life. He is pursuing his M.A. in Christian Formation and Ministry. Ethan, and his wife Allie, are ecstatic to be enjoying life in Wheaton after moving from Oklahoma to Nashville to St. Louis their first year of marriage. Ethan managed at various Chick-fil-As over the last three years and yes, still finds eating a spicy chicken sandwich scrumptious when he gets the chance. Ethan and Allie like to host game nights (Catan or charades, anyone?), hike the Rockies, play a Viking yard game called Kubb, cheer for the St. Louis Cardinals and be with family.  Also, Ethan is always ready to talk about technology, history, theology or economics/business. 
 

 

Katie Garrett

Saint and Elliott Apartments

Katie GarrettKatie, as the Graduate Resident Adviser of Saint and Elliot, will also be working with Discipleship Small Groups in the Chaplain’s office. She graduated from Hope College with a degree in Social Work and minored in Spanish and Ministry. She is pursuing a master’s degree in Christian Formation and Ministry, with a concentration in Bible and Theology. Katie loves to be with people, having conversations over coffee, walking, or anywhere else conversations can be had. She also loves to be outside and be active. While she loves to tell stories, she also loves to listen to people’s stories and discover who they are.
