Statistics at Wheaton
Students of color at a predominantly white college have a unique experience in terms of both challenge and support. Wheaton is no exception. At times students of color seek out those from a background similar to their own and at other times students who are very different in order to stretch themselves. Students of color comprise approximately 17% of the campus. The enrollment chart reflects the enrollment trends of over 35 years, and the table at the bottom reflects current enrollment information compared against Fall 2002. Please note that due to new reporting standards, Fall 2010 starts two (2) new categories (Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander and Two or More Races) which were parts of other data points in the past. New data will be in each of these areas henceforth. Fall 2012 enrollment figures are at the bottom of the page.
