One-Time Events

There is only so much time in the day and week for you to balance all of your commitments. Christian Service Council (CSC) would love for our campus community to be able to commit to a weekly ministry, but we understand it may not be possible for everyone. Acknowledging this, and keeping in mind that as followers of Christ we have a great responsibility to make time to serve others, CSC offers two one-time events for the Wheaton body, students, faculty, and staff to participate in. Thanksgiving Basket Outreach

This is an annual outreach in partnership with Rock of our Salvation Church on Chicago's westside. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to prepare Thanksgiving baskets and/or deliver them to families in the Austin Community. This year, Thanksgiving baskets will be due to the Office of Christian Outreach (North end of the Todd M. Beamer Student Center) on November 16th and will be distributed November 17th. If you are interested in participating this year, you can find the list of items to include in your basket here. If you would also like to help deliver baskets, please come in to the OCO or stop by our table at the Stupe for more details.

Angel Tree Outreach

This is an annual outreach in partnership with Prison Fellowship. This year, Wheaton will sponsor 100 children from the Austin Community of Chicago. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to purchase gifts and/or deliver them with the help of members from Rock of our Salvation Church. This year, Angel Tree gifts will be due to the Office of Christian Outreach (North end of the Todd M. Beamer Student Center) December 10th and will be distributed December 15th.
