Why SG? I am fascinated by efficiency and improvement. Student Government is the best venue for me, personally, to explore and participate in the refinement of Wheaton College while being stretched and equipped as a student leader.

Why you chose Wheaton? I chose to attend Wheaton after taking a gap year and learning hard lessons about who the Lord was creating me to be rather than blindly continuing to cultivate my personhood on my own terms. It wasn't until mid-way through the fall semester of my freshman year that I was convinced that Wheaton was the best place for me to be. Since that time, the Lord has only been confirming my college choice through both challenges I have faced here and wonderful gifts I have encountered as well.

What would you like to achieve by being a part of Student Government this year? I am currently working on a project for seniors to explore and memorialize their experience at Wheaton in the context of an essay competition. I am excited to see how this proposal will develop, as well as how this board will choose to practically implement our ideas for overall improvement in student experience, academics, and available opportunities.

When you’re not studying or working on projects, where can you be found on campus? I'm a wanderer. Your best bet is to call me, or better yet send up a smoke signal--I'm not very attentive to technology.

Favorite Wheatonism: I just learned a new one: OTL. It's the best way of distinguishing the Crushes From Afar from a more constant One True Love.

Most memorable experience at Wheaton: Spring break trips to Angola, LA to visit the men at the Louisiana State Penitentiary. Never before had I been challenged to wrestle with questions of the systemic injustices and yet brutal necessities of the American justice system.

Favorite CU or campus event: Anything with free ice cream or a dance.
