Since the 1870s, graduating seniors have shown their appreciation for their education by presenting a senior class gift to the College. Recent senior classes have awarded class T-shirts to those who contribute. Usually, most seniors support their gift because they know it will have a lasting impact on future generations of Wheaton students. When they celebrate reunions, many classes continue the tradition of giving back by creating class gifts. Class gifts support the Wheaton Fund and many other campus programs, scholarships, and building projects.
Most recently, the Class of 2014 chose to support the Wheaton Fund and a special circumstances scholarship fund as their class gift. The senior class raised over $7,000 in this effort. The scholarship fund will help provide financial assistance to students who suffer an unforeseen financial setback that would cause them to put their Wheaton education on hold. In addition, the 2014 senior class gift will continue to help current and future Wheaton College students through the Wheaton Fund.
