The Talent Show is one of the most anticipated and well-attended events of the year. As part of Family Weekend programming in the fall, the Talent Show often has the crowds lining up early in front of Edman Chapel. With over 2,500 in attendance, this event draws both students and their visiting family members. It is a special night where students can set aside classwork and other responsibilities to come together as a community and celebrate.
Each year, students audition for a spot in this College Union sponsored event which typically includes 15 different acts. From year to year, highlighted talent includes vocal performances, both solo and group, original compositions, or creative renditions from pop culture. Although most acts tend to be musical, in recent years students have shared their talent in some unique ways like playing the Bagpipes, World Class jump-roping, and break-dancing. This much-anticipated event pulls the community together each fall and has become one of Wheaton's longest running traditions.
