Transfer Student Checklist

Welcome to Wheaton! The days ahead are sure to be filled with new beginnings as you enter life at Wheaton. In order to make your transition to “Wheaton student” as smooth as possible, we need to make sure you address all of the necessary information before coming to campus in January.

  • Set up your myWheaton web portal account in order to activate your Wheaton email address.
  • Start making plans for the January 10-12, 2013 Transfer Orientation.
  • Using your myWheaton account, review financial aid package electronically and follow instructions to accept the package offered.
  • Return your Housing preference card once you receive it.
  • Email to Public Safety a digital photo for your student ID by January 4th.
  • Contact the Foreign Languages Department if you need information on Competency and Placement Testing.
  • Check out the Bookstore for Wheaton apparel and textbooks.
  • Complete Wheaton College health and immunization forms and return to Student Health Services.
  • Submit the online health insurance waiver form.
  • If you plan to work on campus in any capacity, you must bring one of the following forms of employment documentation: Current Passport, Original Social Security card, and Original Birth Certificate. Even if you’re not planning to work on campus, these are important pieces of information to bring with you.
  • Check the Academic Calendar before making any travel plans during the school year.  It is important to plan carefully so you do not miss classes or exams.
  • The Transfer Committee is looking forward to meeting you.  Check in at Sam’s in Lower Beamer on Thursday, January 10 from 3:00-5:30 pm.
