I'm a member of Orientation Committee 2013, working specifically with the Transfer sub-committee.  We look forward to meeting each of you during Orientation Week

Graduation year: 2015

Hometown: Upland, IN

Major: Biology

Why OC? I remember coming to Wheaton as a freshman and feeling so welcomed by the enthusiastic Orientation Committee. It left a lasting impression that I hope to be able to achieve.

About me:  I lived the first 5 years of my life in Wheaton, but moved to Upland, IN when my father took a teaching position at Taylor University. I was homeschooled until 5th grade and then attended public school until graduation. I am in the middle of my family: 2 older sisters and one younger brother. I am the first of my immediate family to go to Wheaton. In terms of my future, I hold plans to become an orthopedic surgeon with open hands, praying that God's will be the ultimate goal.

Why Wheaton? I desired a Christian community that would challenge me in spiritual growth as well as in intellectual rigor. Wheaton is filled with faithful brothers and sisters, intentional professors, and great opportunities that will challenge and support me as I also hope to contribute to the community here at Wheaton and beyond.

Favorite place on campus?  SAGA: There is food and there are friends. It doesn't get much better than that!

Describe Wheaton in three words: Community, Challenging, Supporting

Favorite Wheatonism: "For Christ and His Kingdom"

Most memorable experience at Wheaton: Spring Break 2012 trip to Seales, Honduras with the student- led Honduras Project.

What makes Wheaton unique? The common goal of spiritual, intellectual, and community growth that is so important and uniting to everyone here makes Wheaton unique.

Favorite CU or campus event: Talent Show

What person at Wheaton has had the greatest impact on you and why? Justin Heth has met with me on a weekly basis, challenging me and showing me what it means to be a true man of God.
