Why OC? My orientation experience freshman year was amazing and equipped me with everything I needed to start my Wheaton experience off right. The members of OC12 were not only such a great example to me then, but they continue to be great one’s now. So, I chose to be on OC so I might be that for someone else.
About me: I was born in Akron, OH and moved around quite a lot as a kid, but eventually ended up in Edina, which I consider to be my hometown. I have a younger brother and I’m the first of my family to attend Wheaton and I absolutely love it! After college, I hope to become a worship leader in any capacity.
Why Wheaton? God had His hand in bringing me to Wheaton in crazy ways (ask me about it! I would love to share), but what attracted me most was the inviting and loving community that is experienced as soon as you step on campus. Also, I love how each class places Christ as its foundation and center.
Favorite place on campus: Blanchard Lawn, no matter what time of year, it is always so pretty and, when it is warm, it is a great place to study and hang out.
Describe Wheaton in three words: Gracious, motivating, God-honoring.
Favorite Wheatonism: “Let’s grab a meal!”
Most memorable experience: The first All-School Communion. It is the first time when the whole school joins together for worship. Not only was it fun, but also so encouraging as we started off the year.
What makes Wheaton unique? The genuine care that people have for one another.
Favorite CU event: The NEEDTOBREATHE concert
