Why CU? College Union looked a lot of fun and the people in CU from last year were awesome. So needless to say I wanted to become a part of CU.
About me: I grew up in Clarkston, MI. I have two older brothers who went to Taylor University, a twin sister who attends Wheaton with me, and a younger sister who was adopted from China. My parents and grandparents both went and met at Wheaton. And my grandpa’s brother-in-law was Ed McCully. I want to go to Physician’s Assistant school after Wheaton and become a PA.
What’s your favorite place on campus to connect with friends? I like connecting with friends during meals and at sports events but I can feel the emergence of a new connecting spot: the Student Activities Office.
If you had to perform in the Talent Show what would your act be and who would be in it? One of the main skills that I possess is my ability to toss grapes into my mouth. I’ve been practicing with my dad (my inspiration) since I was very young. There would be many different types of tosses and catches performed. Examples include the running catch, the jumping snag, the baby toss and the sky high bomb. This would be a one man show unless I found an exceptionally good tosser.
Favorite CU event and why? The Roller Disco! I love dancing and rolling at the same time. The Roller Disco has great music and I love dressing up in wacky clothes.
How has the community at Wheaton impacted you? It’s very evident that the community at Wheaton is Christ-centered or at least strives to be Christ-centered. That has impacted me because it’s given me a glimpse at how I desire my life to be. I want to strive to make Christ the center of my life and all other decisions and actions I make stem off of that.
