Haiti-Wheaton Partnership

To develop long-term partnerships with one or more organizations focused on ministry and Christian education, with an emphasis on multi-disciplinary collaboration between faculty, staff and students.

HWP works with two different organizations in Haiti:

  1. L’Université Chrétienne d’Nord d’Haïti (UCNH)- UCNH is a well-reputed Christian university of about 700 students.  
  2. Northwest Haiti Christian Mission (NWHCM)- Northwest Haiti is a Christian multi-faceted organization which works to meet the spiritual, physical, and social needs of the people in Northwest Haiti.

HWP Goals:

  1. Develop connections between UCNH and Wheaton College Faculty.
  2. Continue spring break trips to Northwest Haiti, tailoring each trip to student academic interests.
  3. Facilitate internships for students at both UCNH and Northwest Haiti.
  4. Provide on-campus opportunities for students to be involved with Haiti-Wheaton Partnership.
