Sabor Latino

To encourage the involvement of Wheaton's students in Latino culture through teaching them about the history, music and steps of different styles of Latin dances.

What is Sabor Latino?

Sabor Latino is Wheaton College's Latin dance club.  We want to encourage the involvement of Wheaton's community in learning to dance a variety of Latin-influenced dance styles. Through dance we hope that students will gain a better understanding of how to worship God through the diverse, rich heritage of dance.
We teach Latin dances such as Salsa, Rueda, Merengue, Bachata, Rumba, and Cha Cha.

Who can come?

Everyone is welcome!
No experience is needed, we'll teach you the basics of Latin dance.  Depending on the dance style we are teaching, we will split the lesson into beginner and advanced sections.

When and where do we meet?

We meet from 7:30-9:30 on Friday nights in the SRC dance studio. We usually teach one dance style from 7:30-8:25 and a second dance style from 8:35-9:30.
