2006-07 Wheaton College Philosophy Speaker Series
The 2006-07 academic year marks a new beginning for the philosophy department. In place of our annual conference, we will be hosting a series of distinguished speakers. Although we will continue to hold our conference in October every other year, the speaker series allows greater flexibility and a much broader range of topics. Our speakers this year will address such topics as the epistemological status of testimony, how atheists "believe," the complex unity of the self, ethics in the face of cultural decay, and sloth and love. We invite you to join us for thisthought-provoking lecture series.
