Rebecca DeYoung
Rebecca DeYoung earned her B.A at Calvin College before moving to the University of Notre Dame, where she received her M.A. and Ph.D. Professor DeYoung focused her graduate work in ancient and medieval philosophy, in particular, Aquinas's ethics. Professor Young's professional writing deals mainly with the ancient and medieval notion of the seven deadly sins, on which she has written and spoken widely. Presently, she has two books in the pipeline for publication, Aquinas's Ethics: Metaphysical Foundations, Moral Theory, and Theological Context, co-authored with Christina VanDyke and Colleen McClusky, and a solo book entitled, Seven Capital Vices. Professor DeYoung currently teaches philosophy at Calvin College where she has been since 1998.
