Possible Trips:
Teaching and Educational Ministry
Dominican Republic, Kids Alive:
Work with a local teacher to plan lessons and educate orphan children through various subjects.
China, English Language Institute:
Build relationships with and teach English to Chinese middle school children.
Medical Ministry
Bolivia, Hospitals of Hope:
Work in a Hospital showing Christ's love by healing bodies and souls. Use the medium of medicine to first heal the physical body and then use the Gospel of Jesus Christ to cure the soul. Observe a range of medical procedures from births to brain surgury as well as partcipate in local clinic ministry to the community.
Community Based Research/ Ethnography
TBA, Pioneers:
Work alongside indigenous leaders researching a specific unreached people group's culure and community development needs. Gather information and create a report for local missionaries, equipping them to begin ministry among this people group.
Orphan's and Children's Ministry
Senegal, Rainbows of Hope:
Partner with Maison De L'Espoir, a rehabilitation home for Talibe street boys -- boys sold by their families to work on the streets of Dakar. Live and work in this family environment helping these children learn to live together and grow in an atomosphere of love, respect and moral values based on the Bible.
Russia, Sunergos:
Work with Russian orphans organizing thier summer day camps, giving emotional, spiritual and material support. Participate in classes which teach Russian culture, language and history.
Ukraine, Little Lambs:
Work with local evangelical churchs to reach out to the orphans of Ukraine. Work alongside local conselors to provide a Christ-centered camp program -- be a part of this holisitic ministry which nurtures orphans from brokeness to wholeness in Christ.
Women's Issues
Thailand, Servantworks:
Work with the Well, to help love and rehabilitate women who have been involoved in all levels of the Thai sex trade. Help them to see and expierence their ture value as God's creation and reconnect them with their families and villages. The Well prvides counseling, training, job development and other services to women and their family members.
Ministry & Small Business Enterprise
Indonesia, Island Connections International:
Minister to the Sea Tribes people of Indonesia by spending time discovering their culture through music, food, fellowship, sports and hospitality. Learn also how to intergrate a solid theology of ministry and business -- learning how to fully intergrate your faith and life.
HIV/AIDS & Community Development
Zambia, The Jubilee Centre:
Learn from and build relationships with those living with HIV/AIDS teaching Bible Studies and working in rural churches. Particpate in youth sex education campagins and community development projects.
Swaziland, Children's Cup:
Work with this organziation to reach broken and hurting children suffering from HIV/AIDS or orphaned by the disease. Work in community with these children at a CarePoint facilities offering healthcare, education, Bible clubs and safety for the children of Swaziland
Other Ministries
Mexico, Latin American Mission:
Work with an active, vibrant, and engaged community of believers in Mexico City by living with a local family, learning the language and culture, sharing your faith, working with Latin leadership and serving as part of a team. Ministry opportunities are diverse.
