GUP 2007 Budget

Our budget for GUP 2007 is $19,500.
The projected breakdown of expenses is as follows:

Office Expenses $700
Publications/Printing $600
Travel/Mission Boards $11,000
Training/Preparation $5,500
Fundraising Expenses $1,700
TOTAL $19,500

GUPers work together throughout the semester to raise the budget for the summer. We will be sending out prayer/support letters in February to our family and friends. We will do several fundraisers over the spring semester, including half-birthday cakes and community work day. Finally, we will ask our home churches to support us in both prayer and finances.

If you would like a particular student to know that you donated to GUP in their name, please include the student's name on a note separate from your check, and we will pass it on to the student.

IRS rulings state that in order for a donation to be tax-deductible it must be issued to a group/organization and cannot be issued on behalf of a particular student. Therefore, in order for us to comply with these regulations, we cannot issue a tax-deductible receipt if the student's name is written anywhere on the check including the memo line (that includes initials and first names) nor can the name be marked out in any form.
