Dr. Andrew Chignell presents a lecture titled "How to Abandon Hope" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 13.
Dr. Chignell graduated from Wheaton College in 1996, earned a Ph.D from Yale, and is now an associate professor of philosophy at Cornell University. In his lecture, he will explore the definition of hope, its role in religious life, and the doctrine of the afterlife.
