ISAE Announces "The Worlds of Billy Graham" Project Participants

The Institute for the Study of American Evangelicals (ISAE) has announced the core participants that will be featured as part of  "The Worlds of Billy Graham" conference which will examine the career and legacy of the famed American evangelist.  The conference will take place September 26-28, 2013 at Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL.  The selected scholars and their topics include:

  • Dr. Edith Blumhofer, Wheaton College

  • Dr. Darren Dochuk, Danforth Center on Religion and Politics, Washington University in St. Louis

  • Dr. Seth Dowland, Pacific Lutheran University
    Billy Graham and Gender.
  • Dr. Curtis J. Evans, University of Chicago Divinity School
    "A Politics of Conversion: Billy Graham's Social and Political Vision." 
  • Dr. Andrew Finstuen, Boise State University
    Boise State University: Billy Graham and Intellectual Culture.
  • Dr. Michael Hamilton, Seattle Pacific University
    "From Desire to Decision: the Evangelistic Preaching of Billy Graham" 
  • Dr. David King, Memphis Theological Seminary
    Billy Graham and Philanthropic/Humanitarian Causes.
  • Dr. Steven P. Miller, Indpendent Scholar.
