In the past few years a lot has happened in our country, especially with the economy. Times are tough, and families are finding it more difficult than ever to afford things like summer camp. The important thing to remember is that more than ever children need a HoneyRock experience. The spiritual and character development that happens at HoneyRock will prepare children for whatever lies ahead in our world. We recognize that sending a child to HoneyRock is a significant financial investment for many families. We never want finances to stand in the way of a child coming to HoneyRock. Scholarship applications are available on our website; however, in order to receive a scholarship award, a camper must first be registered for one of our summer camper programs. Registering a child for camp requires payment of the $150 deposit per child.
Payment Plan
We can work with you to set up a plan to pay off your balance over time. We can automatically withdraw funds from your bank account or credit card each month.
Involve Others
Grandparents often ask what gifts to buy their grandchildren for Christmas and birthdays. A HoneyRock camp experience makes a great gift. We also suggest talking with your church; there may be ways to work with them to help finance your child’s camp experience.
Needs-Based Scholarship Program
Over the years many generous donors have given to HoneyRock Scholarship Accounts that exist to provide families in need with the financial means necessary to send their children to camp. Families who have multiple children coming to camp, single-parent homes, families involved in full-time ministry, and families dealing with unexpected financial burdens due to medical reasons or job loss are expected to apply for this type of scholarship.
Matching Program
We strongly encourage campers to contribute to funding part of their own camp experience. Not only does this assist financially, but it gives campers a deeper sense of ownership for their experience. HoneyRock will match every dollar a child contributes to their program fee up to $200. Please make a note of how much the camper contributed when you send in your payment and we will match it.
Merit-Based Scholarships
Throughout the year we will announce different ways your child can be awarded scholarship funds. Essay, art, and photo contests are some examples of merit-based scholarships. Check our website and e-newsletter often to learn more about these opportunities.
