About Jon

After a momentous birth in a small town hospital somewhere in New Jersey, I spent most of my childhood growing up in Northwest Ohio, with a short two-year stint in a suburb of Jerusalem while my family was serving there.  Much like my brother, sister, and dad before me, I attended Wheaton College, graduating with a B.S. in Physics in May of 2013.  After working at HoneyRock during the past several summers, I felt called to continue my ministry in the Southwoods Office during this school year.

I accepted Christ as my savior when I was just eight years old, as many children in loving Christian households do.  It wasn’t until after my Freshman year at Wheaton, however, that the decision of whether or not to follow Christ felt significant and consequential.  During that summer, I participated in the Summer Leadership School at Honeyrock, and also discovered my real and urgent need for Christ and his redemptive grace.  I hope to make that discovery a lifelong one.

HoneyRock will always hold a special place in my heart.  The closeness of the community there, and the existence apart from many modern distractions creates space to engage the heart and mind in transformative ways.
