About Janie
I grew up in Greenville, AL. I decided to attend Milligan College in the beautiful mountains of Johnson City, TN in 2006 where I obtained my B.A. in Public Leadership and Service and then ventured into the world of Wheaton College in 2010 for a M.A. in Intercultural Studies. My interest in the Intercultural Studies M.A. comes from my desire to serve in a camp ministry overseas in whatever capacity the Lord leads me. As I wait for an opportunity to serve overseas, I am currently enjoying the experience I am gaining from working at HoneyRock.
I accepted Christ when I was eleven and have been on a journey with Him ever since. My days are filled with eagerness to learn more about Scripture and what it means to be in a relationship with Christ.
HoneyRock is a great place to leave the world's distractions behind and still yourself before the Lord. I appreciate HoneyRock because it gives campers the opportunity to explore their faith while being mentored by college students who have a passion to follow and share Christ. It is important to me for youth to have good role models that will empower them to take ownership of their faith and grow deeper in their relationship with Christ. HoneyRock provides a setting that reinforces this type of ministry.
