About Hannah

I grew up in Arkadelphia, AR, and like our water tower says “It’s a great place to call home.” I was blessed to be a part of a family centered on Christ and a part of a church family that led me to recognize Christ as Savior and Lord.

A turning point in my life was working for a camping ministry in Colorado. Living in community, experiencing God’s creation in Colorado, and using camp to guide young people to the truth and grace of the Gospel made me more excited than anything! I deepened my love for whitewater paddling, backpacking, and rock climbing. I also met Shane who is now my husband and who shares my love of outdoor adventure and camping ministry. We also share a passion for teaching people to care for the outdoor environment where we have fun and meet God.

After college, getting married, and working at Rocktown Climbing Gym in OKC, I journeyed into the frozen northern tundra…also known as the Northwoods of Wisconsin to be a graduate apprentice at HoneyRock. After a year of learning and growing, Shane and I decided to stay at HoneyRock to complete master’s degrees through Wheaton’s CFM department. I also serve as the Service Team Program Coordinator and am pumped to experience service, community, and discipleship with our awesome summer high school students. I think HoneyRock is a great place to learn about serving the Kingdom through camping because we combine academic study with experience with leadership training and we do it all in a fun and loving community centered on Christ.
