Overview

Being a part of the Ministry Support Team is an opportunity to serve the greater HoneyRock community and ministry in a unique and vital way. This team consists of a diverse set of roles in spanning AV/IT, photography/video, office work, housekeeping, and our camp store, the Beehive. What is common and at the heart of this dynamic team is others-oriented service, one of the HoneyRock core values. In many ways, these roles play a behind-the-scenes function. However, the work executed well is of first importance for the ministry and community of camp life in that it serves key functions of excellent hospitality and communication for visitors and guests. The work these positions engage in provide critical support to all camper programs and guests and help frame the environment that constituents experience.

Positions

Audio/Visual/Tech:  This staff person sets up all events that require audio or visual equipment.  This includes worship services and a variety of other large group meetings throughout the summer.  No previous A/V experience is necessary. This person will also serve as the help desk/computer support person; computer knowledge and IT understanding is preferred. This person will report to the IT Manager.

Beehive:  The Beehive is a fun place and campers and guests look forward to coming to the Beehive. As the manager, it is vital to have excellent people skills and greet and interact with campers and guest in a friendly manner. The responsibilities for this role is to maintain the Beehive in all aspects of merchandise, sales and cleanliness of the sales floor.

Housekeeping: Each summer we hire 3 people to work in Housekeeping. Throughout the summer we serve campers and guests, clean common areas, and help in the Beehive as needed. All summer, we work to develop a strong team and do life together.  There are a variety of experiences that will help each person grow personally, professionally and spiritually. If you have a heart to serve others, this will be an excellent opportunity for you to spend a summer at HoneyRock in the midst of God’s amazing creation..  

Photography/Video: This person will be responsible for documenting the camp experience in order to effectively tell the HoneyRock story using photography and video for parents, campers, and various other HoneyRock audiences. This person must be flexible and enjoy being in the outdoors, have significant experience in photography and videography, and have an eye for capturing the right moment. This person will be in charge of making the "bus video" in the summer, as well as other video projects during the summer. This person will also work with the receptionist and Marketing Manager on various recurring summer projects involving the visual communication of HoneyRock events through our online channels. 

Receptionist: The receptionist works in the office under the supervision of the HoneyRock Office Administrative Assistant.  This person is responsible for answering the phone, sorting all staff and camper mail, working with cabin guests, greeting and answering questions for vendors and other constituents, collecting staff time cards and other related tasks.
