Full time employees of Wheaton College receive an impressive benefits package. This package includes:

Benefit Description
Medical Insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois HMO Plan or PPO Plan (begins on date of hire)
Dental Insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois traditional plan
(optional coverage begins on date of hire)
Life Insurance Basic coverage of 1.5 times employee's annual salary at no cost to the employee. Additional coverage of 1-5 times employee's annual salary available at low premium rates (begins date of hire)
Retirement Pre-tax contributions to TIAA-CREF or Fidelity. After one year of employment, and minimum age 21, the College will match the employee's contribution 2-for-1, up to 4 percent. 

(One year of previous, full-time experience with an academic institution or non-profit organization will be considered for eligibility.)
Tax Deferred Annuity Plan (Can participate immediately on date of hire through TIAA-CREF or Fidelity.)
Educational Benefit Employee and spouse can take one course per semester (eligible on date of hire).
Tuition for employee children attending Council for Christian Colleges & Universities available on prorated basis after four years of employment.

Flexible Spending Account Pre-tax payroll deductions allowing you to pay qualified health care and for dependent care expenses through WageWorks (formerly FlexBen Corp). Eligible after 90-day period.
Disability Insurance Short Term and Long Term insurance available to employees after one year of employment at no cost to the employee
Worker's Compensation Insurance

Workers’ Compensation is an insurance program provided by each state, paid for by the employer, and designed to protect workers in case of a work-related injury or disease. It is experience-rated: therefore, industries that have a high incidence of workers comp. claims pay more into the state fund than industries with a low incidence of claims.

Metra Transit Plan Purchase Metra train vouchers (to be used for commuting to work) on a pre-tax basis through payroll deductions.
Adoption Benefit Partial coverage of child adoption fees (eligible after one year of full-time employment)
Credit Union Membership in the DuPage Credit Union (eligible on date of hire)
