Three Levels of TESOL Training
The TESOL program is offered in three levels based on your professional goals. Courses taken for credit can be applied towards an endorsement or a master’s degree.
Level 1 – TESOL Certificate in June
During the month of June, Wheaton offers three courses for teachers who are new to the field of TESOL. These courses are designed around TeachBeyond’s Pre-Field Orientation (PFO) and are offered on Wheaton’s campus. Courses also include a supervised teaching practicum with English language learners in the Chicago area. The TESOL Certificate (issued by the Institute for Cross-Cultural Training), can be taken for 2 or 4 credit hours or non-credit.
