Community School of the Arts

The Community School of the Arts (CSA) is one of the many on campus programs that provides a way for Wheaton students to engage with the surrounding community through the arts and education.  Created over 50 years ago, CSA upholds the standard of excellence in education for which Wheaton College is known. In providing classes for members in the greater Wheaton community from birth to adulthood, CSA endeavors to expose students to quality experiences in the creative arts in order to stimulate an enhanced ability to learn, a heightened sense of self-esteem, and an enriched appreciation for the arts.

The mission of Community School of the Arts is to honor and glorify God through teaching and inspiring students in the performing arts, guiding them toward their full potential while encouraging them, in turn, to enrich the lives of others. CSA offers instruction in Early Childhood Music, Suzuki and/or Traditional (Preparatory) music lessons for youth and adults, reaching nearly 900 students each year.
