| Andy Mangin
is the Technical Director for Arena Theater,
where he works to make sure that three
plays hit the stage each season. Planning,
drawing, ordering and budgeting give way
in the afternoons to picking up the hammer
and working with students on building the
specific set to fit in the black box theater.
Part of his technical work extends to the
Conservatory where he works on the Artist
Series, the Christmas Festival and the
Opera Music Theater. He is a graduate of
Wheaton College and holds an MFA in Acting
from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
A founding member of Meadows Basement Theater
in Los Angeles, he was a part-time actor,
designer and technical director. His other
love is building furniture and he keeps
it alive with a small web site at www.ManginWorks.com. |
