Sir John Houghton Visit
The world leading climatologist, Sir John Houghton, came to campus January 23 and 24 and participated in several events including a class lecture, Q & A, Pastor's Breakfast meeting that brought 50 area pastors and church leaders together to hear Sir John and then discuss ideas and concerns together.  An evening plenary lecture brought a big crowd to Edman Chapel.  Sir John and the John Ray initiative have generously offered printed resources and CACE has offered both audio and video downloads as follows.

2006

Monday, November 13
We gathered in Barrows Auditorium. to hear a panel discussion on "Global Climate Change: A Faithful Response". The panelists include our college president, Duane Litfin, climatologist Douglas Allen from Dordt College, and three of our own professors with great expertise in the field: Drs. Kristen Page, P.J. Hill, and Noah Toly. The panel was moderated by Dr. Greta Bryson.

Wheaton Lecture in Christian Moral Formation
November 6-8, 2006, Barrows Auditorium
This three-day event featured Drs. David and Kaswera Kasali. They are the directors of Congo Initiative which strives to model, nurture and shape authentic redemptive communities of Christ followers whose calling is to transform society in Congo. David Kasali is the past president of the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology.

2006 Fall Lectures
Tuesday, October 31 Ann Alexander, Illinois State Attorney's Office was on campus. Her plenary talk "Private Property and the Regulatory State"is available on mp3.
