Kate Cockle, MM, BM
Suzuki/Prep Harp
Cockle received her Master of Music degree from Northern Illinois University and her Bachelor of Music degree from Wheaton College. At both institutions she studied Harp Performance and Music History, and Kate continues to combine these passions in all areas of her musicianship. In addition to teaching harp at the Community School of the Arts, Kate maintains an active performing career. She enjoys designing recitals specifically to introduce new audiences to classical music. In these recitals she both performs the music and explains its social and historical context. Kate also regularly freelances throughout the Chicago area with Whistrum, her flute and harp duo.
