Freedom and Sex: Finding the Lines in a Promiscuous Age is an all-campus forum sponsored by the Center for Applied Christian Ethics as a part of the collaborative program Sex. Wheaton. Culture. co-sponsored by Academic Affairs, Student Development, Student Activities, the Chaplain's Office, Counseling Center, Residence Life, Student Health Services, CACE and Student Government. This session is rated PG-13 for frank and candid conversation.

This session will feature Gilbert C. Meilaender, Jr. from Valparaiso University, David Scherrer and Linda Klepacki from "Worth Waiting For," and Dr. Lisa McMinn from Wheaton College who all deal specifically with sexual issues and Christianity. Session moderator will be Wheaton College student Timothy Lundeen ’03, a Bible/Communication major.

Gilbert C. Meilaender, Jr., Ph.D., is the Richard and Phyllis Duesenberg Chair in Christian Ethics at Valparaiso University. He is a member of the President's Council on Bioethics and serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Religious Ethics. His latest book is Love Taking Shape: Sermons on the Christian Life (Eerdmans, 2002).

Lisa McMinn, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Sociology/Anthropology Department at Wheaton College, where her classes include Sociology of Sexuality. She has recently published a book entitled Growing Strong Daughters and is currently writing another book due to be published early in 2004 titled Sexuality and Holy Longing.

David Scherrer (MS in Counseling), is the Founder and President of "Worth Waiting For."

Linda Klepacki (RN, BSN, MPH) is Director of Ministries for "Worth Waiting For."
