Roy Oksnevad is director of the Muslim Ministry Program at Wheaton College through the Billy Graham Center. In his role, he gives leadership to a coalition of ministries to Muslims in North America called COMMA, is an adjunct faculty at Wheaton College and North Seminary, and gives leadership to a fellowship of former Muslims in the Chicago area.
Rev. Roy Oksnevad has over 25 years of missionary experience working among Muslims both overseas and in the United States. He has planted an inner-city church in Hoboken, New Jersey, pioneered Muslim ministry for the Evangelical Free Church overseas, helped start an outreach center in Chicago, and started a coalition of ministries to Muslims.
Roy is married to Darla, who also is a conference and retreat speaker and writer. They have three adult children. Roy enjoys biking, hiking, and fitness. He is currently writing his PhD dissertation on the Iranian Church.
Roy has authored one book, written numerous articles, and speaks at churches and conferences. He is currently working on a six-week adult curriculum to equip the Church in their efforts to understand and reach out to Muslims. Roy’s theme verse is, “Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel” (Eph. 6:19).
