Lon Allison

Lon AllisonLon Allison is executive director of the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College. In this role, he directs a team of nearly 30 gifted people who together help “accelerate global evangelism.” He is also an associate professor in the Wheaton College Graduate School in the areas of evangelism and leadership and serves as teaching pastor at Wheaton Bible Church (West Chicago, Ill.).

Dr. Allison has a background in denominational leadership, having served as director of evangelism and prayer for the Evangelical Covenant Church, as well as church planting and youth ministry. He also spent time as a professional actor in California, while at the same time planting a church.

Lon is married to Marie, who is director of evangelism and assimilation ministries at Wheaton Bible Church. They have three wonderful “20-something” children and sometimes travel together preaching and teaching. They enjoy hiking and playing in the deserts of southern California, boating, fitness, and leading people to Christ. (Lon also loves his motorcycle, climbing mountains, and singing Beatles and Beach Boys songs.)

He has authored two books, written numerous articles, and spoken at churches, conferences, and evangelistic venues throughout the world.

His life passion is to “know Christ, and share him with the great congregation and the nations.
