M.A. in Biblical Studies Admission Requirements

This degree is offered in a cohort model where students stay together as a group throughout three years of study, taking weekly evening classes one night per week, and two one-week intensive courses each year. Qualified applicants will be accepted until all seats are filled in the Fall 2013 cohort.

Requirements for All Applicants

  1. Application Deadline: June 1 for enrollment in Fall 2013.
  2. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with minimum GPA of 2.75. 
  3. Application for admission with autobiographical information and essays as indicated in application.
  4. Official transcripts from all previous colleges or universities attended.
  5. Three references: Academic, Pastoral (or other Christian leader), and Professional (employer).
  6. Resume; please highlight work and ministry experience
  7. GRE General Test scores are required if your highest degree earned is a Bachelors degree and you earned this degree within the past 8 years.
    • The GRE is not required if you have earned a Masters degree. In lieu of a postgraduate degree, please submit a substantial resume highlighting work and ministry experience.
    • The Wheaton College institutional code is 1905. General Test scores are downloaded weekly from the Educational Testing Service site. You may self-report your scores (by e-mail or fax) to expedite the evaluation process.
  8. Signed Statement of Veracity, Statement of Faith, and Community Covenant.
  9. $30 non-refundable application processing fee.

International Students Please Choose Another MA Program

  • The cohort model M.A. Biblical Studies is a part time program so educational visas cannot be issued.
