M.A. in Biblical Archaeology Admission Requirements

Admission to the M.A. in Biblical Archaeology is somewhat competitive and requires evaluation of the total applicant pool. Admission is contingent upon current U.S. State Department travel advisories for the Middle East.

Requirements for All Applicants

  1. Application Deadline: January 15 for enrollment in the Summer of 2013. (International Students: January 1.)
  2. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with minimum GPA of 3.0.
  3. Application for admission with autobiographical information and essays as indicated in application.
  4. Official transcripts from all previous colleges or universities attended.
  5. Three references: Academic, Pastoral (or other Christian leader), and Professional (employer).
  6. Resume.
  7. Research Paper (10 to 20 pages).
  8. GRE test scores (Tips for taking GRE).
  9. Signed Statement of Veracity, Statement of Faith, and Community Covenant.
  10. $30 non-refundable application processing fee.

Additional Requirements for International Students

  • English Proficiency exam (TOEFL or IELTS) is required for all International applicants.
  • The Formal Application deadline both for US Citizens and International Students is January 1.
