Computer Labs

Overview

Wheaton College has one large central computer lab on the first floor of the Buswell Library. The Billy Graham Center houses two smaller labs. One is located on the second floor and the other is on the 3rd floor in Special Collections. These labs are available to all students. In addition, each residence hall has a small lab available to the students who live in those dorms. See Hours and Locations below for details. 

Our computer labs provide a variety of software, laser printing, email, and access to the Internet.

Software on Lab Computers

Windows XP PC's:
Microsoft Office 2007, OpenOffice 3.1 

Mac OS X computers:
Microsoft Office 2008 

There are also several software packages necessary for academic instruction (statistics, nutrition, political science, music, etc.).

Printing

All campus computer labs are equipped with Ricoh Aficio printer/copiers. These high-quality devices have numerous features, and can print, copy and scan in black & white and in color. The cost is 6 cents per page for black & white printouts/copies and 18 cents per page for color printouts/copies. Scanning is free. Students pay for their printing using their student ID cards which charges their student account.
