About Daniel Treier

Dr. Treier has taught systematic theology at Wheaton since 2001. He grew up on a farm outside Bloomdale, Ohio, a town of 700. He is married to Amy Black (Treier), who teaches Political Science at Wheaton. Their daughter Anna arrived in 2008.

Dr. Treier's background includes Methodist, (Grace) Brethren, Baptist, Evangelical Free, (briefly) Anglican, and now Presbyterian churches; his theological commitments are evangelical and eclectic, (very) broadly in the Reformed tradition. His scholarly publications focus on theological interpretation of Scripture, while current research interests involve Christology and cultural engagement, especially regarding technology.

Hobbies, aside from chasing after Anna, include reading, watching baseball, reading, golfing, and reading.
