History of Christianity - Graduate Student Conference

Graduate Student Conference

In October 2013, the Biblical & Theological Studies Department hosted its first History of Christianity Graduate Student Conference in celebration of graduate student achievements in advanced research.

Graduate students from Wheaton’s History of Christianity and Historical Theology M.A. programs were selected by professors to present their research. A plenary lecture was given by Associate Dean Jeffrey Bingham entitled, “Reading Martyrdom: Intertextuality in the Letter from Vienne and Lyons.”

Faculty, students, and the public were invited to attend, and because of the success of this first effort, the History of Christianity program run by Dr. Jennifer Powell McNutt has committed to running this conference annually in the fall.
