About Susan Vendeland
Dr. Vendeland's primary focus within the field of Applied Health Science is public health. Her major area of interest is chronic disease prevention through health behavior change in nutrition, eating patterns and participation in physical activity and the influence of spirituality on overall wellness. Dr. Vendeland and her husband, John, have relocated to Wheaton from the Pacific Northwest where they have developed and continue to manage a commercial tea producing operation. The Vendeland's have three grown children who reside on the west coast.

Current Projects
- Relationship Style Influence on Eating Attitudes and Eating Behaviors Among College Students
- In Wheaton in Chicago, my research project is Building Relationships and Protecting Health. It will explore the link between psychosocial factors (relationship style, perceived discrimination, and forgiveness) on health outcomes (blood sugar regulation and the health-related quality of life).
