"Greetings from South Sudan . . .
Rob('79) and Nancy were married after completion of Family Practice residency and within a few months boarded a plane for Zimbabwe. Thus began an advenure stretching more than 25 years serving the Lord through medical ministry in Africa. Along the way, God blessed us with six sons, and many life-long ministry friends and fellow-workers; training in tropical medicine in Livrepool; constantly-challenging and satisfying practice of medicine and surgery; and the experience of the living God, both in escapades of our personal lives as a family, and in the wards and operating rooms of remote African hospitals. Presently we live and work in South Sudan, where you find some of the world's most-neglected diseases, as well as some of the world's most-neglected peoples. God is true to His Promise: 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart . . . in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.'
Rob's Wheaton experience, both in academics and in those first fledgling efforts in leadership through inner-city ministries, was life-changning. For that, we are grateful to God."
